It's back to Beantown for Boston Blue.

The Blue Bloods spinoff — which debuted in October 2025 — has been on a winter hiatus since December 2025 but it's about to return with new episodes, and even more members of the Reagan family.

Boston Blue is the spinoff of CBS' long-running police procedural Blue Bloods that came to an end in December 2024 after 14 seasons. The latest show stars Donnie Wahlberg reprising his Blue Bloods role of Danny Reagan, who relocates to the New England city.

While navigating his new home, and job at the Boston Police Department, Danny is partnered up with Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green), a member of a powerful law-enforcement family. But now, Blue Blood fans can expect to see more familiar faces.

"We really wanted to establish the Silvers first. But now, especially coming out of the midseason finale, we're fully embracing the Reagans as part of the larger Silver family," co-showrunner Brandon Sonnier told TVLine in December 2025.

"I don't know that we should say which Reagans are coming, but there will be more — including some you haven't seen on the show yet," he continued. "And there are other branches of this family tree we're excited to explore."

So, when does Boston Blue start again? Here's everything to know about the show's return, including how many episodes are left.

Wahlberg wasn't the only actor to reprise his Blue Bloods role in the pilot for Boston Blue.

Bridget Moynahan made a guest appearance as Erin Reagan in the first episode, and she is set to return for episode 17 later this season.

During a Television Critics Association panel on Jan. 27, Wahlberg confirmed another Blue Bloods alum, Len Cariou — who portrayed patriarch and Danny's grandfather, Henry Reagan — will be in episode 13.

"Grandpa Reagan's going to be showing up, and Erin's going to show up again," Wahlberg teased, according to TVLine.

When did the most recent new episode of Boston Blue air?

The most recent new episode of Boston Blue aired on Dec. 19, 2025. The ninth episode of the season was titled "Collateral Damage" and it ended on a cliffhanger.

But the next new episode will "come back to the moment where we leave off," Sonnier told TV Line.

"Episode 10 is very emotional. It offers closure to this chapter of the Silvers' lives, but it also opens up new paths, new relationships and new directions moving forward," he added.

There will be a total of 20 episodes in the freshman season, per Paramount.

Boston Blue comes back with new episodes on Feb. 27 at 10 p.m. ET.

"Following the release of Ben’s killer from prison, Jonah continues to struggle with anger and grief confronting the killer and putting family bonds to the test, and Mae and Sarah face painful truths that could change everything," reads the official plot description for the episode, titled "Hard Truths."

"Meanwhile, Danny and Lena take on a high-stakes case that uncovers deep-rooted secrets and forces unlikely alliances," the synopsis continues.

The new episode will premiere on CBS, and be available on Paramount+ the following day.
