The Devil Wears Prada cast reunited in the most fashionable way at The Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere 20 years after their first red carpet together.
Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci all dressed in their finest attire for the New York City premiere of the highly-anticipated sequel on April 20 at the iconic Lincoln Center. The stars posed for several photos both separately and together in their Runway-inspired looks.
Of course, it wasn't the first time the A-listers gathered to celebrate a premiere. Nearly 20 years earlier, Hathaway, Streep, Blunt and Tucci all attended the premiere of the original film on June 19, 2006, at AMC Loews Lincoln Square in N.Y.C.
As their characters have changed over the years, so have the movie stars, who wore elevated outfits by famed designers — including Louis Vuitton, Givenchy and Schiaparelli. In addition to the four returning cast members, several new additions — like Lady Gaga and Simone Ashley — strutted down the red carpet.
Here's a look at The Devil Wears Prada cast at the 2006 and 2026 premieres.

When Hathaway scored her role in The Devil Wears Prada, she had already found success with Ella Enchanted and The Princess Diaries.
In the first film, her character, Andrea “Andy” Sachs, had recently graduated from college with hopes of becoming a journalist and subsequently became an assistant to the icy Miranda Priestly (Streep), editor at Runway magazine. The Oscar-winning actress — who is PEOPLE's World's Most Beautiful 2026 cover star — reprised her role for the sequel.
For the 2006 N.Y.C. premiere, Hathaway stepped out in a crimson gown with elbow-length sleeves and a cowl neckline. She accessorized her look with gold open-toed heels and gold jewelry and styled her hair in a loose updo.
When it came time to embrace the newer version of Andy — an accomplished editor who returns to Runway to run the digital section — Hathaway had no issues showing off her elevated style.
At the 2026 premiere, Hathaway stunned in a custom red satin Louis Vuitton gown by Nicolas Ghesquière, according to WWD. The dress featured a corseted bodice with a sweetheart neckline before it bowed out into a structured, bellowing tea-length skirt.
She added red open-toe heels, pink gold Bulgari jewels and a red cocktail ring, according to InStyle.

Meryl Streep

Streep effortlessly portrayed cutthroat Runway editor Miranda in the first film and stepped back into her designer shoes for the sequel.

The Oscar-winning actress went with a more understated look for the first premiere, wearing a cream matching set that featured a long-sleeve embroidered satin blouse paired with a cream beaded knee-length skirt. Streep accessorized the set with a slightly darker cream shawl. She also donned nude pointed-toe heels and silver hoops.
For the 2026 premiere, Streep fully embraced Miranda by wearing a show-stopping red cape coat that tied at the neckline; it appears in Givenchy by Sarah Burton's Fall 2026 collection, per Elle. Streep gave the elegant look an edge by wearing black leather opera gloves, black Stuart Weitzman shoes and sparkling David Yurman jewelry.
Streep also notably sported a pair of black-framed sunglasses, which may have been a subtle nod to real-life Vogue editor Anna Wintour (and her famous black sunglasses), who loosely inspired her character.

Emily Blunt

Blunt, who reprised her role as Emily Charlton, was another star who rose to the stylish occasion for the 2026 premiere. While Emily was once the dedicated and doting assistant for Miranda, in the sequel film, she is now a powerful executive at a luxury fashion house facing off against Andy and Miranda.
When it came to the debut premiere, Blunt wore a simple knee-length magenta dress with black lace trim around the neckline and black spaghetti straps. She tied a darker magenta sash around her waistline and added silver and black sparkling heels and black dangly earrings.
However, Blunt went for a more refined and opulent look for the 2026 premiere. She wore a statement-making tiered gown from Schiaparelli’s Spring/Summer 2026 Couture collection.
The bustier dress featured 25,000 silk thread feathers laced with gold metal eyelets that required around 4,000 hours of embroidery work, according to a press release from the designer.
Blunt accessorized the sculptured dress with gold heels and a Mikimoto necklace and matching bracelets with hundreds of pearls.
"My stylist Jessica Paster sent it to me from the couture runway, and knew it would be the one,” Blunt told Vogue. “And if you’re going to go big for a premiere, well, I’m not sure there’s one more appropriate for this dress than The Devil Wears Prada premiere.”

Stanley Tucci

Tucci stole hearts when he played the ever-devoted Runway editor Nigel Kipling in the first film, and fans can be rest-assured that Tucci stepped strongly into the role for the sequel, as well.
During the 2006 N.Y.C. premiere, Tucci wore a simple dark gray suit with a white button-down shirt, black tie and black shoes.
When it came time for the 2026 red carpet, Tucci looked handsome in a black velvet blazer, gray pants, a black-and-white patterned tie, black shoes and black sunglasses.
