Fans of The Pitt found themselves receiving a little bit of unanticipated closure following the death of frequent flyer Louie Cloverfield, thanks to actor Ernest Harden Jr.'s niece.

The young woman took to TikTok following the most recent episode's release, giving fans a little glimpse of Louie in another world when she shared a clip of him "casually watch[ing] himself die" from the comfort of his own, beautiful home.

The video opened up to show a dark but nicely decorated living space illuminated by the glow of the television mounted on the wall, which was streaming the moment of this past week’s episode where Harden Jr.'s character was undergoing CPR after being found unresponsive by Dr. Langdon.

His niece first flipped the camera back to show her own face, looking a little perturbed by what she was watching on the screen, before panning over to show Harden Jr. seated on the couch across from her, with a giant “emotional support pillow” across his lap as he watched the fictional doctors call his time of death.

"Me watching my uncle casually watch himself die on TV and I’m just sitting there like 👁️👄👁️," she captioned the emotional clip.

Seeing a Depiction of Louie Living in the Comfort of a Beautiful Home Was a 'Therapeutic' Way for His Story to End

For many, it felt like "closure I didn’t know I needed," with one calling it "therapeutic" to see that the actor, who has very much blended into his character for The Pitt viewers, "actually has a beautiful home and a beautiful family."

"ik louie is just a character but your uncle has such a sweet face and i am sure he is a lovely man!" they added.

"His death broke my cold, dead heart. He has a great presence," another applauded.

Even Josh Peck found his way into the comments, writing, "He’s one hell of an actor, bravo 👏👏👏."

The Character Made a 'Huge Impact' on Viewers

"JUST finished sobbing over him," another TikToker wrote. "Small-ish role, huge impact. ♥️."

"Does he know how his death destroyed us? 😭😭," someone else emphasized, while many others requested the young woman pass on various messages to the actor, like, "I actually shed tears over his character 😭," "I SOBBED SO HARD FOR HIM AND WE’LL MISS LOUIE 😭❤️," and, "I miss him already."

"Can you hug him for me please," another requested.

Harden Jr. served as somewhat of a staple for the first two seasons (so far), appearing in the pilot episode and returning again later in Season One before spending the first five episodes of Season Two being treated in the ER prior to his hard-hitting death.

At the start of the sixth episode, Dr. Robby, Dr. Langdon, and a team comprised of many of their colleagues attempted to save Louie after he suffered a pulmonary hemorrhage, but the damage was too severe, leaving viewers a collective "mess" as they mourned the unexpected loss.
